Texas State Technical College - Aviation

Texas State Technical College's Aircraft Pilot Training program at Waco is housed at one of the largest educational airports in the country, offering a unique training environment for aspiring professional pilots. The program leads to an Associate of Applied Science degree in Aircraft Pilot Training Technology and covers approximately 275 hours of flight time from Private Pilot through Commercial and Flight Instructor ratings. In late 2025, TSTC debuted a new fleet of Piper Pilot 100i aircraft featuring Garmin glass cockpits, synthetic vision, and modern LED lighting systems, giving students experience with the latest training technology.
