Texas State Technical College (TSTC) in Waco offers an Aircraft Pilot Training Technology program at what is recognized as one of the largest educational airports in the United States, the Texas State Technical College Airport (KCNW). The Part 141 program leads to an Associate of Applied Science degree and takes students from zero experience through approximately 275 total flight hours, earning Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, and CFI certificates. TSTC debuted a new fleet of Piper Pilot 100i aircraft in late 2025 featuring Garmin electronic flight instruments, synthetic vision technology, and modern safety upgrades, keeping the program at the forefront of training technology.
