About

Navy Annapolis Flight Center (NAFC) has been training pilots in the Chesapeake Bay region since 1975, operating as a FAA Part 141 certificated school from Lee Airport (KANP) in Edgewater, Maryland — just minutes from the United States Naval Academy. NAFC's 90% checkride pass rate reflects the quality of its structured Part 141 curriculum and its team of instructors, which includes aviation-degreed full-time CFIs alongside retired military fighter pilots and active airline captains. Maryland's State Approving Agency has approved NAFC for veterans' GI Bill education benefits, allowing qualified individuals to recover up to 60% of flight training costs through Montgomery GI Bill and Post 9/11 Bill programs. The school also holds approved Foreign National Flight Training Program status, serving international students from across the globe who are drawn to the Annapolis area for both the quality of instruction and the unique Chesapeake Bay flying environment. NAFC operates from both Lee Airport (KANP) and Fort Meade/Tipton Airport (KFME), and serves as the primary flight training partner for Capitol Technology University's BS in Aviation Professional Pilot program.
