Eagle Aircraft Flight Academy, operated by JS Aviation Inc., has been shaping pilots at Porter County Regional Airport (VPZ) in Valparaiso, Indiana since 1979 — making it one of the most experienced flight training operations in the state. Recognized as one of only eight FAA Part 141 certificated flight schools in Indiana, Eagle Aircraft offers a complete training ladder from Private Pilot Certificate through Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), including Instrument, Commercial, and multi-engine ratings. More than 4,000 students have launched their aviation journeys through Eagle Aircraft's structured programs, which are also approved for VA educational benefits and SEVIS certification for international students. The school trains in Cessna and Piper aircraft using FRASCA flight simulators for instrument proficiency and procedure training. Eagle Aircraft has forged an academic partnership with Valparaiso University, enabling students to simultaneously earn an Associate Degree while completing their flight training — a dual-enrollment model that accelerates both academic and aviation credentials. Under the leadership of owner Joy Slegers and manager Holly Starkey, Eagle Aircraft continues to uphold its four-decade tradition of producing safe, competent, career-ready pilots.
