About

AlphaFlight LLC calls Plymouth Municipal Airport (C65) home, bringing an exclusive training environment with uncrowded airspace and personalized instruction to north-central Indiana. Co-founded by Dan Marohn — a former U.S. Air Force F-16 fighter pilot who now flies commercially — AlphaFlight is shaped by a culture of professionalism, discipline, and genuine investment in each student's success. The school operates under FAA Part 141 certification and runs a curriculum designed to move students efficiently from zero flight experience to career-ready pilot credentials. AlphaFlight's fleet includes Cessna 172 Skyhawks for primary and instrument training, a Piper PA-34 Seneca twin for multi-engine instruction, and an expanding fleet of Maloy MA-1 Blue Jay aircraft acquired to modernize training capabilities. The school also runs innovative high-school partnership programs that allow students to earn college credits and flight hours simultaneously. General Manager Jake Marohn and Flight Training Manager Jodi Marohn round out the leadership team, bringing a family-centered culture to an operation that takes aviation education seriously.
