REGION FLYERS
About
Region Flyers makes its home at Porter County Regional Airport (VPZ) in Valparaiso, Indiana, serving the Northwest Indiana and Chicago Southland aviation community with FAA Part 141 certificated flight training at competitive prices. Founded and led by Bradley Detert — a current Frontier Airlines captain who cut his professional flying teeth as a corporate jet captain — Region Flyers brings real-world airline and corporate experience to every student's flight training experience. The school's diverse fleet is one of its most distinctive features, encompassing Cessna 172 and 150 singles, a Piper PA-28 Warrior, classic tailwheel aircraft including the Champion 7EC and Christen Eagle/Super Decathlon for aerobatic and tailwheel endorsements, and a twin Piper PA-23 Apache for multi-engine instruction. Region Flyers also offers scenic aerial tours of Northwest Indiana's shoreline and lake country for those who simply want to experience flight. With a companion location in Lansing, Illinois, Region Flyers gives students flexibility to train at multiple Northwest Indiana and Chicago Southland airports. Detert's philosophy of making flight training genuinely accessible and affordable has attracted a loyal community of student pilots throughout the region.
