The Flight School of Gwinnett has been training pilots in the greater Atlanta area since 1982, making it one of the most established flight training institutions in Georgia. Operating from Gwinnett County Airport at Briscoe Field (KLZU) in Lawrenceville and Athens Ben-Epps Airport (KAHN), the school has built a decades-long reputation for producing competent, safety-conscious pilots at every level of certification.
Approved under both FAA Part 141 and Part 61, the Flight School offers the flexibility of structured accelerated training or self-paced learning, accommodating students from all backgrounds—from those pursuing a lifelong dream of personal flight to aspiring professional pilots. Training programs span the full range of certificates and ratings: Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial, Multi-Engine, and Flight Instructor certifications.
Over its more than 40 years of operation, the Flight School of Gwinnett has trained thousands of pilots who have gone on to careers with regional and major airlines, as well as military and corporate aviation. Its longevity and dual-campus presence reflect a deep commitment to the aviation community in and around Atlanta, consistently delivering high-quality instruction in a welcoming, professional environment.
