About

Lanier Flight Center has served north Georgia's aviation community since 2003, operating from Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport (KGVL) in Gainesville, Georgia. As an authorized Cessna Pilot Center, the school holds dual FAA approval under both Part 141 and Part 61, giving students the choice between a structured, accelerated path or a more flexible self-paced program.

The school's fleet of over a dozen aircraft covers a wide range of training scenarios, from Cessna 172 Skyhawks and 182 Skylanes equipped with Garmin G1000 glass cockpits to a Piper Seminole multi-engine trainer. This allows students to progress seamlessly from primary instruction through commercial and multi-engine ratings in a single cohesive program. The facility also maintains Redbird and AST flight simulators for instrument and procedural training.

Lanier Flight Center emphasizes quality instruction with career-focused instructors and a comprehensive, safe learning environment. The school has earned strong community reviews and serves students throughout north Georgia, offering everything from a first discovery flight to full professional pilot ratings, all within the scenic foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains region near Lake Lanier.
