Middle Georgia State University - School of Aviation
About
Middle Georgia State University's School of Aviation is Georgia's only four-year collegiate aviation program, offering a comprehensive, FAA-approved Part 141 flight training curriculum at its dedicated aviation campus in Eastman, Georgia. The campus sits adjacent to Eastman-Dodge County Airport (KEZM), giving students direct runway access from classrooms and hangars in a tight-knit, aviation-focused learning environment.
The school operates a fleet of approximately 30 fixed-wing aircraft and four helicopters, including Piper Archers, Arrows, Warriors, and Seminoles, plus tailwheel aircraft and Guimbal Cabri G2 and Robinson R44 helicopters. This breadth allows students to earn certificates and ratings ranging from Private Pilot all the way through multi-engine and helicopter ratings, culminating in eligibility for the restricted Airline Transport Pilot certificate with as few as 1,000 flight hours.
MGA's aviation program is one of only thirteen universities nationwide selected as a Delta Air Lines Propel Pilot Career Path partner, offering qualified students an accelerated pathway to a conditional job offer with Delta. The school also participates in agreements with other regional and major carriers, making it a sought-after destination for aspiring airline pilots. Students graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Science and Management, with concentrations available in flight, management, or helicopter flight.
