Middle Georgia State University - Cochran Satellite
About
The Middle Georgia State University Cochran Satellite is one of several training locations that make up MGA's expansive School of Aviation network. While the main aviation campus is situated in Eastman, Georgia, at Eastman-Dodge County Airport, the Cochran satellite extends the program's reach to additional students across central Georgia.
As part of MGA's FAA-approved Part 141 curriculum, students at satellite locations follow the same rigorous standards and syllabi as those at the main campus, working toward certificates and ratings from Private Pilot through Commercial and multi-engine. The School of Aviation is the only four-year collegiate aviation program in Georgia and one of thirteen universities participating in the Delta Air Lines Propel Pilot Career Path Program.
Students who complete their training through MGA's aviation network earn a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Science and Management and graduate eligible for the restricted Airline Transport Pilot certificate at 1,000 flight hours—an advantage that places MGA graduates on an accelerated pathway to airline careers with Delta and other major carriers.
