About

LIFT Academy's Columbus, Indiana campus is one of several satellite locations that extend the reach of LIFT's nationally recognized professional pilot training program beyond its Indianapolis International Airport headquarters. Situated at Bartholomew County Airport (KBAK) in Columbus, the satellite brings LIFT's Republic Airways-backed curriculum and Diamond aircraft fleet to students in south-central Indiana.

Students at the Columbus location train under the same Part 141 approved syllabus and with the same model Diamond DA40 and DA42 aircraft as those at the main Indianapolis campus, ensuring consistency in training quality and aircraft systems proficiency. As part of the broader LIFT network—which includes over 70 aircraft, 500 students, and 117 instructors—Columbus campus students benefit from the full organizational resources of one of the largest flight training programs in the United States.

The direct Republic Airways pathway available to LIFT graduates extends to satellite campus students as well. After completing the commercial program and building hours as flight instructors, qualifying graduates receive a fast-tracked opportunity for a First Officer position with Republic Airways, making LIFT's Columbus location an appealing entry point for career-focused student pilots throughout the Columbus, Indiana area.
