SPENCER NORRIS

Spencer Norris is an accomplished aviation professional and FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) based in Sylvania, Ohio. With over two decades of dedicated flight experience, Norris has established himself as a central figure in the rotorcraft community of Northwest Ohio and Southeastern Michigan. In 2006, he founded Intrepid Helicopters, where he serves as the owner and chief pilot. Operating primarily out of Toledo Suburban Airport and Toledo Express Airport, he has successfully managed a diverse range of operations including flight training, aerial photography, and popular seasonal tours.

Norris holds high-level certifications including Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII) ratings with specializations in both reciprocating and turbine rotorcraft. His appointment as a DPE by the East Michigan Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) reflects his deep technical knowledge and a career-long commitment to safety and regulatory excellence.
