Jeffrey Brian Schorsch served as a helicopter pilot for Toledo Life Flight for 30 years, spending 28 of those years as the air medical transport program's Chief Pilot. Based in Perrysburg, Ohio, Schorsch operates as a Designated Pilot Examiner under the North Olmsted Flight Standards District Office (FSDO GL25), conducting private, commercial, instrument, CFI, and ATP practical tests in helicopters. In January 2022, Schorsch was appointed Chief Pilot for Sweet Helicopters in Fort Wayne, Indiana, later also serving as the company's Director of Operations. In these roles, Schorsch manages pilot staffing, oversees aircraft acquisitions, flies charter flights, and conducts pilot safety and recurrent training courses, including instruction on avoiding Loss of Tail Rotor Effectiveness (LTE). Schorsch's history with the company began years earlier when Schorsch administered the helicopter checkride for Sweet Helicopters founder, Chuck Surack.
