PWK SATELLITE
About
Lewis University's PWK satellite campus brings the school's nationally recognized Part 141 aviation program to Chicago Executive Airport (KPWK) in Wheeling, Illinois, extending Lewis's reach into the northern Chicago suburbs. As a satellite of Lewis University Airport in Romeoville, the PWK campus operates under the same FAA-approved curriculum, safety standards, and fleet that have helped Lewis earn recognition as the best flight school in Illinois.
Students at the PWK location benefit from the dynamic training environment of Chicago Executive Airport, a busy public-use airport serving the affluent North Shore corridor of Chicago. The towered Class D airport provides students with real-world ATC communication practice from day one, and the proximity to O'Hare International Airport's Class Bravo airspace further sharpens students' situational awareness and airspace management skills.
The satellite campus shares Lewis University's fleet resources, including Cessna 172 Skyhawks for primary training and Piper Seminoles for multi-engine instruction, and students may progress through their full certification pathway at either the Romeoville or PWK location interchangeably. Lewis University's partnerships with regional airlines and the United Airlines Aviate program extend to all students regardless of campus location, providing a clear pathway from first flight to professional aviation career.
