LETOURNEAU UNIVERSITY
About
LeTourneau University's College of Aviation and Aeronautical Science traces its roots to 1956 when founder R.G. LeTourneau began an on-the-job aviation training program at his Longview manufacturing facility. Today, the program is housed at the Paul and Betty Abbott Aviation Center directly on East Texas Regional Airport (KGGG), offering seventeen degree and concentration options including Professional Flight, Aviation Management, Aircraft Maintenance, Dispatch, Unmanned Aircraft Systems, and Mission Aviation. LeTourneau is recognized as the only comprehensive, university-level aviation program in Texas where all instruction is provided in-house without third-party contractors.
