Kansas State University Salina extends its nationally recognized aviation training program to the Kansas City metro area with this FAA Part 141 location at New Century AirCenter (KIXD) in Gardner, Kansas. The K-State Salina professional pilot curriculum allows students to complete commercial pilot training in as little as 190 hours under Part 141 — significantly fewer than the 250-hour Part 61 standard — and bachelor's graduates are eligible for the Restricted ATP at 1,000 flight hours.
