About

Florida Aviation Career Training, Inc. (FACT) traces its roots to a St. Augustine flight school founded by Jim Moser and has been in continuous operation since 1990, earning its FAA Part 141 certification on July 18, 1991 to become the longest-running Part 141 school at Northeast Florida Regional Airport (KSGJ) in St. Augustine. Under the ownership and management of Bjorn Ottesen since October 1993, FACT has cultivated an experienced instructor corps with a combined 210 years of flying experience, over 44,000 hours of pilot-in-command time, and more than 23,000 hours of instruction given. The school offers a uniquely diverse fleet for a regional flight school — ranging from Cessna 152s and Cherokee singles through a Cessna 210 Centurion, Beechcraft Sierra 200, and a Taylorcraft taildragger — enabling students to pursue everything from primary training through complex and high-performance endorsements, multi-engine ratings, and even aerobatic training.
