Acron Aviation Academy

Acron Aviation Academy, headquartered at Sanford International Airport (KSFB), traces its origins to the L3Harris Airline Academy and prior to that to one of Florida's original large-scale pilot training enterprises—collectively training pilots from over 100 countries since 1999. Following L3Harris's 2023 sale of its Commercial Aviation Solutions division to private equity firm TJC, the operation was rebranded Acron Aviation in 2025 and has since achieved a landmark: becoming the first Part 141 flight school selected to provide foundational flight training for US Air Force Undergraduate Pilot Training candidates. With a fleet exceeding 100 aircraft, advanced simulators, and in-house FAA examining authority, Acron offers a state-of-the-art training environment from Private Pilot through ATP.
