Timothy Phillip Knueven is an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner based at Moontown Airport (3M5) in Brownsboro, Alabama, where he has served as the airport manager and board member since June 2023. Appointed as a helicopter examiner in August 2024, Knueven conducts practical tests for Private, Commercial, Instrument, and Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificates in helicopters. He is also the founder and owner of Rocket City Helicopters LLC, a flight training business he incorporated at Moontown Airport in December 2013. Knueven's aviation credentials include an ATP certificate, Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) ratings in helicopters, as well as an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic certificate with Inspection Authorization (IA).
