Roger Geoffrey Woods is a distinguished FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, serving the Philadelphia Flight Standards District Office (FSDO). His professional aviation career began with 24 years of service in the British Army Air Corps, where he conducted a diverse range of fixed-wing and rotary-wing missions including VVIP charters, emergency medical services (EMS), and special operations. Following his military service, he served as a flight instructor for BAE Systems in Saudi Arabia, training cadets for the Royal Saudi Air Force.

Currently, Woods is the Chief Flight Instructor at the Leonardo Helicopters US Training Academy in Philadelphia. With a vast flight history contributing to tens of thousands of cumulative hours, he specializes in advanced helicopter instruction and examinations for Agusta/Leonardo models like the AW119, AW139, and AW189.
