Peta Sarah Sheridan is a distinguished Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and veteran aviator based in Bozeman, Montana. With over 4,600 flight hours and more than two decades of experience, her aviation journey began in Zimbabwe, where she first earned her private pilot license before moving to Utah to complete her advanced certificates and ratings. Her career has spanned diverse sectors of the industry, including serving as a Chief Flight Instructor and Flight School Director, as well as flying under Part 135 operations in the Pacific Northwest.
In addition to her role as an examiner, which she began in May 2019, Sheridan has spent the last several years in corporate aviation, frequently operating high-performance aircraft above 35,000 feet. She manages Part 135 and Part 91 flight departments and operates Cleared for Takeoff LLC, providing checkrides for Private, Commercial, Instrument, and Multi-Engine ratings. Known for her technical precision and safety-oriented mindset, Sheridan’s expertise in mountain terrain and complex flight environments has made her a highly respected figure within the Montana aviation community.
