Mark DiLullo

Mark DiLullo is a highly distinguished FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and the founder of Threshold Aviation Group, based at Chino Airport (KCNO). With an aviation career spanning over four decades, DiLullo began his journey as a T-38 pilot in the U.S. Air Force before transitioning to civilian corporate aviation. Since establishing his firm in 1989, he has grown it into a premier full-service aviation hub in Southern California, specializing in aircraft maintenance, management, and jet transitions.

An accomplished aviator, DiLullo has logged over 20,000 flight hours and flown more than 200 different aircraft types. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and has served as a Chief Pilot for high-level research programs, including NASA’s High Ice Water Content project. His safety-first mindset was notably demonstrated during a 2019 engine failure in the Mojave Desert, where he successfully performed an emergency off-field landing without injury to himself or his passenger.

As a DPE, DiLullo leverages his extensive background in corporate jets and maintenance to evaluate pilots across private, commercial, and ATP levels. His deep expertise in complex airframes and his commitment to professional standards have made him a pillar of the Southern California flight training community.
