James "Jw" Lynn is a veteran aviator and FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) based in Central Kentucky, primarily serving the Lexington and Danville areas under the Louisville FSDO. With a career spanning several decades, Lynn has accumulated thousands of flight hours across a wide spectrum of aircraft, from light general aviation trainers to high-performance corporate jets. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and is a highly qualified flight instructor with CFI, CFII, and MEI ratings. As the owner and Chief Flight Instructor of Lynn Aviation at the Danville-Boyle County Airport, he has become a cornerstone of the regional pilot community, specializing in Private, Commercial, and Instrument rating practical exams.
