Jordan Isaak Bartel

Jordan Isaak Bartel is a distinguished FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and aviation leader based in Hillsboro, Oregon. His early life across Haiti, Bolivia, and Spain instilled a diverse perspective that he brought to his aviation training at Hesston College and his Business Administration studies at Bethel College. Bartel’s professional trajectory is defined by an eleven-year tenure at Hillsboro Aero Academy, where he served as the Airplane Chief Flight Instructor. In this capacity, he managed a massive fleet of over 60 aircraft and a staff of 80 flight instructors, prioritizing rigorous training standards and operational safety across a career spanning thousands of flight hours.

Appointed as a DPE in February 2019, Bartel specializes in Private, Commercial, and Multi-Engine checkrides, along with Flight Instructor renewals. In addition to his examination duties, he serves as a Company Check Airman for Hillsboro Aviation’s Part 135 charter operations and remains active in Part 91 contract flying.
