Travis Mark Baker

Travis Mark Baker is a highly active FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and veteran flight instructor based in Hillsboro, Oregon. His aviation journey began in 2008 in Spokane, Washington, where he trained through the University of North Dakota’s satellite program before earning a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics with a major in Commercial Aviation from UND in 2014. Since moving to the Portland area, Baker has dedicated nearly a decade to professional flight instruction, specializing in advanced pilot certification and multi-engine training. He is well-known in the Pacific Northwest for his leadership at Baker Aviation LLC, where he provides both high-level instruction and examiner services.

Baker holds a Commercial Pilot certificate with single and multi-engine land and sea ratings, along with a Gold Seal CFI, CFII, and MEI. His professional experience includes flying for Part 135 cargo operations and corporate aviation in complex aircraft such as the Cessna Citation VII and King Air C90. As a DPE for the Portland FSDO, he is authorized to conduct practical tests for Private, Commercial, and Instrument ratings, as well as multi-engine and CFI add-on certifications.
