David H. Bohn is an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner based at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport (KAFW) in Fort Worth, Texas, specializing exclusively in helicopter evaluations. As a rotorcraft-only examiner, he does not conduct airplane checkrides. Bohn holds Private, Commercial, Instrument, ATP, and CFI certificates, and his FAA examiner authorizations allow him to conduct Private, Commercial, Instrument, and Competency evaluations in Bell 206, Bell 407, and Bell 429 helicopters. Beyond his examiner duties, Bohn is a retired U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel who served for 23 years, including time as a helicopter pilot with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 364 and as Base Inspector at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Today, he serves as the Training Center Manager for the Bell Training Academy in Fort Worth and represents Bell Flight at international aviation safety conferences.
