BRIDGET VANSCOY

Bridget VanScoy is a highly esteemed FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and retired airline captain based at the Wilkes-Barre Wyoming Valley Airport (KWBW) in Forty Fort, Pennsylvania. With a career spanning over 35 years as a Captain for American Airlines, VanScoy possesses an exceptional depth of aeronautical knowledge and professional operational experience. She holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and is an accomplished flight instructor (CFI, CFII, MEI). Beyond her distinguished airline career, she and her family have leased and managed the Wilkes-Barre Wyoming Valley Airport since 2006, where they operate Valley Aviation, a premier regional flight training facility.

As a DPE, VanScoy is recognized for her rigorous yet fair evaluation of pilot candidates across various certificates, including Private, Instrument, and Commercial ratings.
