Angel Tomas Peralta is a distinguished FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and the Chief Flight Instructor at Red Arrow Flight Academy in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. With over two decades of aviation experience, Peralta began his flight training in 2001, eventually founding one of the region's premier training centers at the Dona Ana County International Jetport (KDNA). He holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and is a seasoned instructor with CFI, CFII, and MEI ratings. His professional background is uniquely bolstered by an educational foundation in Industrial Engineering, holding both a Master’s degree and an MBA from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Beyond conducting practical tests for the Albuquerque FSDO, Peralta is a specialized pilot with type ratings in the Cirrus Vision Jet and Cessna Citation series. He is deeply integrated into the aviation safety community as a FAASTeam Representative and serves in leadership roles including President of EAA Chapter 1570 and Vice President of the Amigo Airsho. Known for his rigorous safety-first mindset, Peralta emphasizes meticulous logbook validation and airmanship during his evaluations. His commitment to aviation history is further reflected in his board membership at the War Eagles Air Museum and his personal operation of a classic 1946 Globe GC-1 Swift.
