Adam Lee Chunn

Adam Lee Chunn is a U.S. Army veteran and helicopter Designated Pilot Examiner based in Nevis, Minnesota, who conducts Private, Commercial, Instrument, ATP, and Flight Instructor checkrides in helicopters. Chunn serves as the Chief Flight Instructor for Semper Fly Helicopters at Max Westheimer Airport in Oklahoma and flies Eurocopter EC145 helicopters for Sanford Health as a Part 135 Helicopter Air Ambulance pilot and company instructor. Previously, Chunn spent nearly a decade as an aviation faculty member at Lake Superior College in Minnesota and served as a Part 135 Director of Operations for Zip Aviation in New York. Chunn's decade-plus of operational and instructional experience spans rotorcraft platforms including the Robinson R22, Robinson R44, Guimbal Cabri G2, Bell 206, Bell 407, Eurocopter EC145, and AgustaWestland AW139. In 2024, Chunn was recognized with an Elevate Award from the Minnesota Aviation Career Education Camp.
