About
Utah Valley University's School of Aviation Sciences has been training pilots since 1988 and operates as a Part 141 certified training center at Provo Municipal Airport (KPVU). The school's 25-aircraft fleet was recently upgraded to a standardized fleet of Diamond DA40 XLT glass-cockpit aircraft and Piper Seminole twins, all maintained in UVU's own FAA Part 145 certified repair station. In 2023, UVU became the first collegiate flight training program in the nation to switch entirely to unleaded aviation fuel (UL94). The program holds Part 141 ATP hour-reduction approval and boasts a graduate job placement rate exceeding 92%.
