Southern Utah University Aviation is ranked among the top flight schools in the nation and operates at the highest elevation university flight school in the country at 5,622 feet above sea level. Located at Cedar City Regional Airport (KCDC), just five minutes from campus, SUU Aviation trains approximately 10% of the world's incoming helicopter pilots and offers both fixed-wing and rotary-wing concentrations within its AAS and bachelor's degree programs. The helicopter fleet — the largest university-owned helicopter fleet in the world — includes Robinson R44 Cadets, R44 Raven IIs, Bell 206s, and a Bell 505, while fixed-wing training uses the Cirrus SR20.
