About
South Dakota State University's Aviation Program is an FAA Part 141-certified flight school embedded within the university's School of Health and Human Sciences in Brookings, South Dakota. Operating from Brookings Regional Airport (KBKX), the program trains students with a fleet of 15 Cessna 172 Skyhawks, three Piper Seminoles, and an American Champion Citabria, covering the full progression from Private Pilot through Multi-Engine Instructor certifications. The program leads to a Bachelor of Science in Aviation and prepares graduates for professional careers in flight, aviation education, and beyond.
