About

Silverhawk Aviation Academy has been preparing pilots in the Treasure Valley since 1998, earning a distinguished reputation as Idaho's only FAA-approved Part 141 flight school offering both airplane and helicopter training under one certificate. Located at Caldwell Executive Airport (KEUL), the academy operates one of the largest training fleets in the Pacific Northwest, with over 40 aircraft and two full-motion simulators available to students.

The airplane program trains in Cessna 172 aircraft, taking students from their first discovery flight through Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, and Flight Instructor certificates. The helicopter program operates Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters, providing a comprehensive rotorcraft curriculum from Private Helicopter through CFI-H and CFII-H. The academy's dual-track structure is uncommon in the region, allowing students who want exposure to both fixed-wing and rotorcraft training to complete multiple ratings at a single school.

Since 1998, Silverhawk has mentored and guided hundreds of students into successful aviation careers. The school's Part 141 structure ensures a rigorous, FAA-approved training syllabus and regular oversight, and its location in the Caldwell area provides access to the diverse Idaho terrain—ranging from flat irrigated farmland to dramatic high-desert buttes—that creates an exceptional and varied training environment. Silverhawk's longevity and fleet size make it the clear leader in professional flight training in southwest Idaho.
