About
Horizon Aviation has been changing the way people learn to fly in Southern New England since 2001, growing from a single-location school into a two-airport operation serving both the greater Boston and greater Providence markets. With its Norwood, Massachusetts campus at Norwood Memorial Airport (KOWD) and a second location at T.F. Green Airport (KPVD) in Warwick, Rhode Island, Horizon Aviation provides Part 141 certificated flight training to pilots throughout the Boston-Providence corridor. The school operates a fleet of 13 Cessna aircraft — one of the largest Cessna-only fleets in New England — and as an official Cessna Pilot Center, Horizon Aviation collaborates directly with Cessna to deliver top-tier training materials and structured instruction proven to develop safe, proficient pilots. Programs span the full range of certificates and ratings from private pilot through ATP, with specialized tracks for students pursuing professional aviation careers as well as those flying for personal enrichment. Horizon Aviation's two-airport model gives students flexibility in where they train while maintaining consistent standards across both facilities, and the schools' combined experience and student volume make them among the highest-throughput training operations in the Northeast.
