Mid Island Air Service, founded in 1946 by Lou Mancuso Sr. at Deer Park Airport and now operating from Long Island MacArthur Airport (KISP) in Ronkonkoma, is one of Long Island's longest-standing flight training organizations. The school offers FAA Part 141 and Part 61 training for all certificates from Sport Pilot through ATP, with a fleet of over two dozen aircraft, a full-service Cessna Single Engine Service Center, and FAA-certified A&P mechanics on staff.
