FAIRMONT STATE UNIVERSITY

Fairmont State University's Aviation Center of Excellence (ACE) is the only FAA Part 141 approved aviation program in the state of West Virginia, operating at North Central West Virginia Airport (KCKB) in Bridgeport. The College of Business and Aviation offers two concentrations within a BS degree: Professional Flight and Aviation Management. The fleet includes Cessna 172 G1000 glass-cockpit aircraft for fixed-wing training and a Schweizer 300 helicopter for rotary-wing training. The program expanded its fleet in 2025 with additional Cessna 172 G1000 aircraft to accommodate growing enrollment.
