Steven B Bush

Steven B. Bush is the CEO and co-founder of Lone Star Helicopters Inc., operating out of the Rusty Allen Airport in Lago Vista, Texas. Bush began flying helicopters at age 12 in Los Angeles, completing his first solo at 16 and earning a Private Helicopter License at 17. In 2003, he moved to Texas to work as a paramedic, serving 26 years in public safety and retiring as a Special Operations EMS Captain with Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services. He earned his Commercial Helicopter License in 2006, obtained his Flight Instructor rating in 2008, and established Lone Star Helicopters Inc. to provide flight training and aircraft brokerage. Bush administers Private Pilot and Flight Instructor (CFI) practical tests in helicopters. In 2017, he volunteered his time and helicopter during Hurricane Harvey to deliver neonatal donor milk to flooded hospitals. He also shares helicopter flight concepts through instructional YouTube videos and podcast appearances.
