Robert "Brian" Morgan is a highly distinguished FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and retired U.S. Army Officer based in Ozark, Missouri. With over 18,000 total flight hours and more than 7,000 hours of dual instruction given, Morgan possesses an extensive background in both military and civil aviation sectors. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and is recognized as a Master Army Aviator with multiple type ratings, including the Cessna Citation Mustang (C-510S). His career is marked by a deep commitment to education, having served as a production test pilot for Cessna and earning a Master’s Degree in Aviation Safety from Central Missouri State University.
As the founder of "Flying In The Safety Zone," Morgan specializes in training for technically advanced aircraft and instrument proficiency. His safety-first philosophy is deeply rooted in his previous work as an accident investigator for major aviation insurance companies and was further reinforced by his survival of a catastrophic engine failure and emergency landing in a Mooney. Today, he serves the Kansas City FSDO region, where he is respected for conducting rigorous yet fair practical tests.
