MICHAEL RHODES

Michael Rhodes is based out of Nashua, New Hampshire, and has a long-standing association as a helicopter flight instructor with East Coast Aero Club at Nashua Airport (KASH) and Laurence G. Hanscom Field (KBED). Rhodes conducts helicopter practical tests for Private, Commercial, Instrument, ATP, and Flight Instructor (CFI) certificates, with authorization to examine in Robinson R-22, R-44, R-66, Schweizer 269, and MBB/Kawasaki BK117 models. He also performs administrative functions as a Foreign Pilot, Military Competency, Ground Instructor, Flight Instructor Renewal, and Remote Pilot Examiner. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate and CFII for helicopters, and is a Robinson Helicopter Company factory-approved ferry pilot. Between 2008 and 2010, he served as the Part 141 Chief Flight Instructor for East Coast Aero Club's helicopter CFII course, accumulating over 1,400 hours of helicopter instruction. His training specialties include Robinson SFAR 73 evaluations, turbine transitions, high-density airspace operations, and advanced maneuvers like touchdown and constant attitude autorotations. Outside of primary instruction, Rhodes was featured in Bose Aviation's "Why I Fly" series and worked for Digital Equipment Corporation in Nashua during the early 1990s.
