Based in Canton, Michigan, Marci Haengel serves as the Crosswinds EMU Liaison and Willow Run Chief Pilot for Eastern Michigan University's aviation program, where she supervises the university's flight instruction staff. A pilot and Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic, Haengel holds FAA private, commercial, instrument, and Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) ratings for single-engine land airplanes, and she co-owns a 1967 Piper PA-28-140. Her professional flight operations extend to the State of Michigan Department of Natural Resources, where she conducts specialized aerial survey flights.
