Leonard Litton

Leonard George "Len" Litton is a highly experienced Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and FAASTeam Representative based in Piedmont, South Carolina. A retired Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Air Force, Litton’s aviation career is distinguished by a 20-year military tenure during which he commanded the 25th Flying Training Squadron at Vance Air Force Base. His extensive background includes serving as the Chief of Safety for a large flying training wing, where he investigated aviation mishaps and developed a deep specialization in operational risk management and flight safety protocols, instilling a safety-first mindset that defines his current evaluation style.

As an active CFII and DPE serving the Columbia FSDO, Litton holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate and has amassed thousands of flight hours in both high-performance military and civilian aircraft.
