KEN SPIVEY

Ken Spivey is a veteran aviator and FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) based in Calera, Alabama, primarily operating out of Shelby County Airport (EET). With a career spanning over five decades, Spivey is widely regarded as one of the most experienced examiners in the Southeast. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and has dedicated much of his professional life to flight instruction and safety, notably serving as a Regional FAA Safety Team (FAAST) Manager. This dual role as both an evaluator and a safety advocate has shaped his thorough yet fair approach to pilot certification.
