Jonathan Baror

Jonathan Baror is a seasoned FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and the founder of Bar-or Aviation, primarily serving the Davis and Sacramento regions of California. His aviation journey began as a hobby in 1996 and rapidly evolved into a professional career that has spanned over 25 years. Baror progressed through the industry as an active Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) before advancing to the roles of First Officer and Captain for regional airlines. With thousands of flight hours accumulated across diverse airframes, from single-engine piston trainers to high-performance corporate jets, he provides a high level of expertise to the Northern California pilot community.

In addition to his examiner authority, Baror has extensive experience in aviation management, having served as a Chief Pilot, CEO of a flight school, and Director of Training in a Part 135 environment. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and is type-rated in the Dassault Falcon 2000. Known for his rigorous safety-first mindset and dedication to mentorship, he specializes in a wide range of checkrides, including Private, Instrument, Commercial, and Multi-engine ratings.
