Erik Daniel Kessler acts as an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner for the Houston Flight Standards District Office, where he administers private, commercial, instrument, ATP, and flight instructor practical tests in helicopters. Kessler also serves as an active medical helicopter pilot for HCA Houston Healthcare's AIRLIFE program, flying 24/7 air ambulance missions out of the Pearland base. His work with AIRLIFE has included supporting the program's regional expansion to surrounding counties like Liberty, Texas. Historically, Kessler has deep ties to the local helicopter training and charter industry, notably working with Veracity Aviation in New Braunfels and Pearland since at least 2012. Additionally, he has supported general aviation safety efforts as a donor to the AOPA Foundation in 2015 and 2016.
