David Dziura

Dave Dziura is a highly specialized helicopter pilot and FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) based in Lafayette, Colorado. With over 15 years of professional aviation experience and thousands of flight hours, he has established himself as a leading authority in high-altitude and mountainous flight operations. Prior to his aviation career, Dave earned a degree in management and outdoor education from the University of New Hampshire, which led him to various roles in the outdoor industry and five-star luxury hotel management. Today, he operates Safe Rotors, providing insurance-approved initial and recurrent training for a variety of airframes, including the Robinson R44 and Bell 505.

Dave is recognized as a tireless advocate for aviation safety and serves in prominent leadership positions, including Chair of the Vertical Aviation International (VAI) Safety Industry Advisory Council and Project Lead for the United States Helicopter Safety Team (USHST).
