Daniel Mackenzie

Daniel Mackenzie began his aviation career approximately 25 years ago when he graduated from the Rotorcraft-Helicopter Professional Pilot Program at Universal Helicopters (UHI). After working as a flight instructor, assistant chief instructor, and chief pilot, he relocated to Prescott, Arizona, in 2008 to establish UHI's High-Altitude and Certified Flight Instructor training centers. Under his management, UHI secured a 2010 contract to provide helicopter flight instruction to students at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Prescott campus. Since March 2019, Mackenzie has served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Pilot of Universal Flight Concepts. As an active Designated Pilot Examiner under the Scottsdale FSDO, he is SFAR 73 Qualified for Robinson R-22 and Robinson R-44 helicopters, and he administers private, commercial, instrument, CFI, and ATP practical tests in helicopters.
