Charles Rosenstein

Charles Rosenstein, who commonly goes by Brian Rosenstein, is an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) based in Stanley, North Carolina, with examining authority for Private, Instrument, and Commercial pilot certificates in the Airplane - Single Engine Land category. His aviation journey began as a teenager in Virginia, where he worked on the ground crew at the Flying Circus in Bealeton to fund flight training in a Piper J-3 Cub and a Boeing Stearman. He soloed at age 16, earned his Private Pilot certificate at 17, his Commercial certificate at 18, and his CFI at 19. A former Civil Air Patrol cadet who served as Cadet Commander of the Prince William Composite Squadron in 1994, Rosenstein built a professional airline career at American Airlines, starting in 2017 as a Boeing 737 First Officer, transitioning to the Airbus A320 in 2019, and eventually advancing to Airbus A32F Captain, Instructor, and Check Airman.
