Cecilia Aragon

Cecilia Aragon is a distinguished FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and aviator based in Everett, Washington, operating primarily out of Paine Field. With over 5,800 accident-free flight hours, Aragon’s aviation journey is a testament to perseverance; she transitioned from a pilot initially terrified of heights to becoming the first Latina on the U.S. Unlimited Aerobatic Team. Her competitive career includes bronze medals at both the U.S. National and World Aerobatic Championships. She is uniquely recognized for holding the record for the shortest time from a first solo flight to earning a spot on the national team.

Beyond the cockpit, Aragon is a prominent Professor at the University of Washington and a former computer scientist at NASA and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
