Cayce Batterson

Cayce Batterson serves as a helicopter pilot and Base Lead Pilot for AirLife Denver at the Frederick/Firestone base in Colorado, flying emergency medical service missions throughout the high-density altitude and complex winter environments of the Rocky Mountains. Operating under the Denver Flight Standards District Office (FSDO), Batterson administers Private, Commercial, Instrument, ATP, and Flight Instructor practical tests in helicopters. In his professional flying career, Batterson operates Bell 407 and Eagle 407HP helicopters, and he advocates for safety and performance margins in mountainous terrain. He also serves as an aviation safety presenter for Air Methods, educating flight crews on the philosophy of 'Just Culture.' Additionally, Batterson co-founded and directed the non-profit organization Copters for a Cause, which has raised funds for community charities through helicopter sightseeing flights.
