Brandy Suzonne Shaw

Brandy Suzonne Shaw is a distinguished Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) and the Chief Pilot at the Kansas State University Salina Aerospace and Technology Campus. Based in Salina, Kansas, her career is defined by a deep commitment to collegiate aviation education and administrative standardization. She rose to prominence for her resilient leadership as the Interim Chief Flight Instructor during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she was instrumental in developing the safety protocols necessary to resume flight operations and maintain training continuity for the university's growing pilot population.

Shaw holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with multi-engine land ratings, as well as her Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Instrument Instructor (CFII), and Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) credentials. With extensive experience in both Part 61 and Part 141 flight environments, she specializes in evaluating candidates for Private, Instrument, Commercial, and Multi-Engine certificates.
